Bear Family Layered Wood Shadow Box
Immerse yourself in the pristine wildness of Alaska with our "Bear Family" multi-layered wooden 3D shadow box. This artwork meticulously captures a scene of a mother bear leading her cubs through a lush, lowland forest. Above them, a majestic mountain range stretches into the sky, with an eagle soaring freely overhead. Each layer of wood contributes its own unique facet to the overall depiction, creating a striking sense of depth and three-dimensional realism.
This artwork was born from the awe-inspiring sight of a black bear family journeying through the Alaskan backcountry. It serves as an evocative keepsake of past wilderness excursions with loved ones or an inspiration for your future travel aspirations. We personally design, cut, and assemble each element in our family-owned workshop nestled in the scenic expanses of Minnesota. To enhance the visual contrast and individuality of each layer, we use a state-of-the-art laser system for engraving and cutting the wood layers.
Our laser cutting technique gives the wood a distinctive darkened edge, which subtly emphasizes the separation between layers and adds an artisanal touch to the piece.
The large version of this artwork, spanning 22-3/4 inches in width, 11-3/4 inches in height, and 1-1/2 inches in depth, consists of six layers of ¼” birch plywood. The layers are encased in a handmade, oil-treated mahogany frame for a premium look. This version comes with two sawtooth mounts affixed to the back of the artwork, facilitating easy hanging. We also provide a pair of screws and drywall anchors to assist with installation.
The compact version, measuring 12-1/4 inches wide, 6-3/4 inches high, and 1-1/2 inches deep, is also constructed from six layers of ¼” birch plywood housed within a similarly crafted mahogany frame. Its modest size is ideal for a desk, end table, or wall display. A unmounted wall hanger is included with this smaller variant.
As we handcraft each piece, the received artwork may slightly differ from the pictures due to the natural variations in wood color and the laser etching process. Note that the props shown in the pictures are for illustration purposes and are not included with the art piece.
